I am a joint PhD student in South Asia Studies and History. My research interests include agrarian history and rural labour in Southern India, with a focus on the intersections of work/labour, knowledge, and social relations. In particular, I study the intellectual and material histories of labour—examining the relationship between manual and intellectual labour, the role of print culture, and how workers’ intellect and practical knowledge found expression in tools, implements, and everyday technologies, shaping broader histories of technology, education, and industrial life in the region.
